Let Them Listen To and Enjoy A Good Online Story

Stories that students hear being read to them using the technology of the computer can serve a definite purpose as one of the tools for creating a literacy environment. These stories are not meant to replace the “human” element of the teacher or another adult reading a story to the class, however, as an extra literacy activity, the online story helps to develop fluency, an appreciation for literature, and an understanding of the elements of a story.
