Finding A Virtual Audience
Publishing Students' Work Online

 


When a student can find new audiences and new opportunities for writing, the motivation for writing, revising, and sending messages becomes much greater. It is also fun to read the writing that is published by students all over the world. Included are also some websites that publish students' art work.


Education By Design-  StoryTeller - You can contribute a story yourself or read the many stories written by children from around the world. 

Kids' Space - Creative activities for students sixteen years old and younger.

Fun House - A place to read others' stories and to publish your own!

Kidscribe (Bilingual) - A bilingual Spanish/English site for kid authors to publish writing, poetry and jokes.

Crunch - Published by the U.S. Department of Education, this online magazine allows you to share thoughts and opinions. English On-Line Writer's Window - This also contains continuous stories to which your students can add. Also included are Book Chats.
Story Book -of kids, by kids, and for kids Fern's Poetry Club - A poem is chosen every day for publication. Submission forms are online.

Global Children's Art Gallery - The Global Children's Art Gallery displays childrens' drawings (grades 1 to 12) from around the world.(Click OK when asked for a password)

KidPub - This site has published thousands of stories and poems from kids. Submissions are posted within a couple of days.
